Thurmont’s Masonic Lodge deadline for the
2021 Scholarship Applications is May 31!
Thurmont’s ACACIA MASONIC LODGE announces their annual Scholarships
“Mary and Robert Remsberg Memorial SCHOLARSHIP AWARD”
Thurmont’s Acacia Lodge #155, is offering one scholarship worth up to $5,000.00!
Bernhard “Bernie” Cohen Past Masters Memorial SCHOLARSHIP AWARD ” is worth a one time award of $2,500.00!
The Remsberg Memorial Scholarship funds would be distributed at $1,250.00 per year, for up to four years of continued education with passing grades from an accredited college or university. This scholarship is available to all graduating high school level seniors from a Maryland State accredited public, private, and/or home-school program who reside within the Catoctin High School district boundaries as per the Frederick County Public School district map.

Since 1995, Thurmont Masons have awarded over $90,000.00 worth of scholarships supporting area students.
Applications will be judged upon the following criteria in order of importance:
Participation and leadership roles in community and/or school activities.
Content of a personal resume.
Academic record and/or special achievements.
Need for financial assistance.
Evaluation by school official and/or mentor.
Organization, appearance, and completeness of the application.
Scholarship application forms are available at the Catoctin High School Guidance Office and online. DEADLINE is May 31, 2021.
The successful applicant and their family will be invited to Acacia Lodge’s annual Strawberry Festival in June, for the presentation of the Scholarship if local guidelines allow.
